Naija Travels Part 3: My visit to Iberekodo Dam

My visit to Iberekodo dam today outside Abeokuta is alongside the Abeokuta Forest Reserve and Ogun Water Corporation. Just 20 minutes from Lafenwa, but most people in Abeokuta don’t even know the place exists.

I just want to ask what is the role of the Comm of Tourism in Ogun State and how the office is projecting places of natural & historic beauty for tourists.

Has Ogun State established any dedicated tourism zones? If not, why not? And how can we engage the state to commence the establishment of tourism zones to boost the tourism industry in Ogun State, which should be more than just a solitary visit to Olumo Rock?

We have various dams, lakes, reservoirs, unspoilt tree-lined white sand beaches, lagoons & inland islands in Ogun West, Ogun East & Ogun Waterside

We have uncountable rock & mountain formations suitable for paragliding, including Bilikisu Gorge Moat, one of the longest man-made structures in the world. Ogunde Cultural Film Village, Adire Market, etc., please share.
