Running a vibrant, effective political party isn’t child’s play & not for the faint hearted. Does the Opposition have lessons to learn from PBAT’s APC

Whilst PDP’s internal conflict resolution machinery remain a shambles & in disarray, with conflicting oratory from PDP’s Govrs, BOT, NWC & it’s acting chairman Govr Damagum, APC’s national chairman Fmr Kano state Govr Ganduje of Gandollar fame has quietly resigned supposedly on health grounds.

To those who beleive all our political parties are the same this couldn’t be further from the truth.

In a country where politicians never resign APC chairmen resigned without rancor, will the APC wax stronger or start to crack.

After the Gombe debacle which publicaly exposed divisions in APC NE relating to the endorsement of PBAT’s 2nd term with out mentioning VP Shettima as a joint ticket.

There is speculation PBAT may drop Shettima & the Muslim/Muslim ticket, as he dropped his deputy as Govr in Lagos, others claim their are rifts between PBAT & his VP though this is stoutly denied. Can the sagacious PBAT run for 2nd term without Ganduje afterall it is his perogative to choose his running mate.

We recall Baba POBJ’s travails to disqualify his VP Atiku; the forever candidate, from running in 2007 because of a controversial indictment for fraud.

Kano state a critical Northern state was lost to Kwankwaso’s NNPP opppsition in 2023 with 440,000 votes 58.4% of the vote. The political maneuvering of PBAT knows no bounds, it’s clear this move is an effort to woe Kwankwaso back into APC as Kwankwaso has vowed not to join APC so long as Ganduje remains party chairman.

Kwankwasia movement behind APC will make for a formidable APC card & hold of Kano for APC.

It is likely that Govr Yusuf of Kano may decamp along with his Godfather Kwankwaso; just like in Delta, returning Kano to the APC fold, watch this space.

In addition APC needs to shore up votes in NC in 2027 to split Northen votes as 2027 may be a North v South affair, compliments of the so called National Coalition led by the _League of Northern Democrats_ .

When the League of Northern Democrats first emerged they visited Baba POBJ in Abeokuta, who admonished them to be a League for All Nigerian Democrats & not a Northern affair. They have not taken baba’s advice.

The coalition of the unwilling is crumbling before our very eyes with 110 political associations seeking registration by INEC with numerous similar sounding names such as 2 ADA parties and 2 Obidients. I can’t see anything good coming from the coalition.

With Wike, Fubara & Amaewhule meeting with PBAT in Aso Rock to settle their differences. It’s a matter of time before Fubara will be reinstated & singing *”On your mandate we stand”* soon.

Wike & others have vowed to support Tinubu’s 2nd term so long as PDP insist on Atiku or another Northern candidate, making 3 Northern candidates in a row.

LPDP should take a queue from APC on how to run a political party. We are watching Election 2027 loading what’s your view please share
