Will the 2027 elections be a one-chance election?
For 73-year-old President Tinubu, the answer is yes, as he will be in a battle for a 2nd term; he only has one more term left, having enjoyed one term. If PBAT loses in 2027, he is not likely to contest again & will just be a one-term president returning back to Lagos.
APC will ensure no stone is left unturned & all the stops are removed to ensure PBAT secures his 2nd term in 2027.
There will be no prisoners this time around, as APCians will grab it, hold it, protect it, & run with it all the more.
Some will continue to accuse APC of stealing victory, like their Debunked Phantom Stolen Mandate lol 😆 😂
Opposition says 2027 will not be about political parties but an election of the Nigerian people against Tinubu’s Anquish & Poverty Congress APC.
In other words, it doesn’t matter who is opposing PBAT so long as they have a strong coalition of the willing & able; they will defeat PBAT. This sounds like wishful thinking. Where and who are the Coalition, and which platform will they use—PDP, LP, SDP, ADC, or any other party (AOP)?
Asor 78-year-old former VP Waziri Atiku, the Forever Candidate, age is not on his side. This may well be his final opportunity to upturn the applecart.
Having unsuccessfully contested for president 6 times using different SPVs in 1993 (SDP), 2007 (AC), 2011 (PDP), 2015 (APC), 2019 (PDP), and 2023 (PDP).
Atiku may be looking for another party, as it’s becoming apparent his personal Selfish Political Ambition & dogma to be the Perpetual Northern candidate has caused irrevocable damage to the PDP making it the People’s Dead Party
Looking at the dynamics, Atiku is looking at all possibilities, coalescing with Northern elites in pursuit of his eternal ambition to lead Nigeria.
In this desire he may use SDP, ADC, or any other vehicle if PDP leadership does not rubberstamp his nomination.
Recently a group called Nigerian Youths for Atiku kicked off a support group for Atiku to become our president in 2027, when he will be an octogenarian. How comical is this in the Nigerian setting of being a youthful population to see their future in Atiku, a long-term pensioner?
Everyone knows the 2027 election is likely to be based on maintaining the presidency in the South to enable the South to complete its 8 years, just like the North with PMB & OBJ’s 2 terms.
Peter Obi said he is not likely to run for president beyond 2027, as he will be 65 in 2027.
In acknowledging Nigerians’ informal presidential rotation convention between the North & the South.
All serious political observers know 2031 will be an election based on Northern candidates where no Southerner is likely to emerge victorious.
Meaning the next time the presidency rotates to the South will be 2035, when PO will be 77, by which time he intends to retire from active politics, unlike Atiku, the Forever Candidate, who is 78 & will be 80 in 2027.
2027 is certainly a one-chance election & a do-or-die affair. Will the outcome retain the presidency in the South, or will the North & the Nigerian populace upset political calculations?
What’s your view? Are you not bothered about our Presidential Rotation Convention? Are you more interested in meritocracy rather than rotation? Which of the main contenders do you think is likely to be victorious?
If the opposition remains fragmented, will 2027 be a repeat of 2023 & a walk in the park for PBAT?
Is your view anyone other than Tinubu & APC must go? Let us know. Whatever the case, don’t fight, kill, or lose your life for any politician’s selfish political ambition; it’s not worth it.
